Scripture Study Reflection Question - The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

When was the last time you shared your faith with someone and talked with them about your relationship with Jesus Christ?  Have you ever thought to invite someone to consider joining the Catholic Church?  If Jesus were to ask you to invite someone that you know to join His Church....who would you invite?  (Please do not mention their name here, but consider writing down how you would approach this person and invite them to join the Church.

Great question, Msgr!

I think the first step is the recognize the many opportunities to proclaim God's Kingdom that occur on a daily basis.  As you state, God always sends people into our lives for a purpose.  Sometimes the purpose is to help us on our own journey, and sometimes the greater purpose is for us to help them.

So, I think it's important to be very mindful of the people that God sends into our lives and to always be open to opportunities to bring God's message to others as those opportunities present themselves on a daily basis.   Often times the most simple acts of faith and kindness... just a few kind words or a kind gesture... can have profound meaning and could be life-changing to someone.

As you frequently state, God uses the little that we have to offer and turns it into great and wonderful things...

One of the things that I know for certain, is that when we become mindful of those people and opportunities that God sends our way, we begin to see them more easily... and it becomes easier to respond.

Just like those "God winks", the more you acknowledge them, the more you see them all around you...  :)
